In October 2008 Æneas Strategy Consulting & Management coordinated the first ever Mobile Advertising Research in the Netherlands. The groundbreaking study was endorsed by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and executed by Yankee Group. The in-depth research delivered an authoritative report supported by companies throughout the entire mobile value chain.

The research shows that 30% of the Dutch and 53% of Dutch youngsters (16-24 years) are interested in receiving advertisements on their mobile phones, if they are incentivized.

The research results were presented on October 30st 2008 during the most important event on Mobile Advertising in the Netherlands, organized by the IAB. For more information go to www.mas2008.nl.

Mobile Advertising Research Netherlands provided insights into the possibilities and status of mobile advertising in the Netherlands, with a dual focus. The first objective was education, especially towards advertisers and media agencies. The second objective is to provide the industry with the views and opinions of advertisers and consumers on Mobile Advertising. The research report detailed:

  • the added value of Mobile Advertising;
  • the possibilities of Mobile Advertising;
  • the reach of Mobile Advertising;
  • Mobile Advertising in comparison with other advertising channels;
  • the current state of mobile advertising in the Netherlands.
